ROCK U. FEST (AGES 8 - ADULT)
PROGRAM
ROCK U. FEST is our annual rock band festival concert which takes place at the end of June each year. Students aged 8 - Adult who are interested in performing in a band to play one song are eligible. It is a 4 week program that starts end of May/early June with one concert.
SIGN UP PROCESS
All TMC students will be sent an email in March inquiring as to if they would want to play in band, perform in our Spotlight Recital or remain in lessons. Those students interested in ROCK U FEST will receive a survey application in March via email. In this survey they will be able to select a song in their age group range (8 - 11, 12 - 14, 15 - 17, Adult) which is connected to various rehearsal times throughout the week. We ask that they choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice option. In April they will be sent a confirmation in regards to song choice and rehearsal day/time.
LESSONS & REHEARSALS
ROCK U FEST participants stop their regular lessons at the end of May and go into 30 minute group rehearsals for the song they have chosen and at the rehearsal day/time selected.
COMMITMENT
ROCK U FEST requirements a 4 lesson commitment with one concert. We ask that students attend every rehearsal.
CONCERT
The ROCK U FEST concerts are usually held around the last week of June (usually on a weekend).
REQUIREMENTS
Private lessons at The Music Cellar are required for Students in ROCK U. FEST. A certain level of proficiency on their instrument is required.
AUDITION
Auditions are not required to perform in ROCK U FEST.
PRICING
ROCK U. 911 is $105 for the program and replaces June lessons. People who have pre-paid for lessons will simply owe $23 for ROCK U FEST if they have already paid June lesson fees.
